Fortunately, the idea you already have for a book will usually do nicely. You may just need to tweak the wording a little to make sure it shines. You know how some workshops promise to be "hands on" but aren't really? And some promise results and you leave disappointed? Well THIS workshop was the model for a REAL hands-on experience that DELIVERED. Bella Andre totally involved herself in hammering out a zinger of a pitch for each participant. Like a hungry dog with a delicious bone (I'm a dog lover so for me, it's a GOOD simile) she led us in teasing out the essential elements of the plot, the characters, and the conflict, and then crafting an irresistable three-sentence pitch for each of our manuscripts or concepts. Through her facilitation we all got involved in the process for each writer there.
