Before I started writing books, I recorded four CDs and performed on piano and guitar (using the name my parent’s gave me – Nyree). 

In addition to successful tours of the US and Brazil, several of my songs and performances were licensed for use in Network TV and Film, from MTV to Sony Pictures to the PAX network.

• "National Discovery Artist" at the Hear Music retail chain.
• "Best Unsigned Band" at the Music Journalism Awards Conference.
• Little Girl was featured on Oprah's Oxygen.com for two months.
• Booking, Promoting & Marketing Your Music, published by Mix Books/Hal Leonard, has gone into multiple printings and is still in print..
