Washington Post coverage!!!!
Monica McCarty and I did a workshop on Alpha Heroes at the RWA National conference in DC last week - and in an article in the Washington Post they mentioned it. http://tinyurl.com/ktlazn
“Workshop offerings are equally vast. More than 100 sessions address everything from “High-Octane” kisses to sketching believable alpha heroes (sub-categories include: Warrior Alpha, Chief Alpha, Extreme Alpha, Bad Boy Alpha, Wounded Alpha, Swashbuckling Alpha, Geek Alpha and Gentle Alpha).”
Yes, that was directly from our workshop, which makes me think Monica Hesse, the writer of the article, was probably listening in to our workshop.
Fun!

This first book in Andre’s “Hot Shots: Men of Fire” series sets the scene for life among Lake Tahoe’s wildland firefighters. The plot is taut, suspenseful, and highly realistic. The subject is well researched, and the depiction of the brotherhood bond among firefighters is spot-on. From their very first kiss, Maya and Logan’s romance is emotionally charged, soul-deep, and hot as a glowing ember. This one’s a keeper to read again and age. — ReaderToReader.com

Ms. Andre has penned an excellent novel that will keep readers guessing until the very end. Many of the secondary characters have you wondering if they are the ones who are causing all of the havoc with the wildfires. The suspense will have you turning the pages in a frenzy to find out who is behind the fires. The ending and the arsonist are sure to catch you off guard and will have you looking forward to reading the next installment in this series, HOT AS SIN, arriving in December 2009.
WILD HEAT is a masterfully written novel that I highly recommend to readers looking for an action-packed ride full of suspense and a wild, hot romance.

Wild Heat introduces us to a new series, Hot Shots: Men on Fire and starts off with a sizzling first novel, full of suspense, passion, and steamy sex. Ms. Andre takes every woman’s desire and doubles the erotic fantasy with her sexy alpha males. We see Maya fighting to keep her personal life from the investigation, something that is ten times harder when Logan is added to the equation. His sensual words and hot looks only make him that more desirable to us as well as to Maya. This sensational and juicy book will have you guessing who the arsonist is until the very end, where the answer will shock and surprise you; a perfect read for anyone!

AAR review - Jane Granville
You don’t have to look much farther than a calendar shop to realize that women think firefighters are sexy. Bella Andre fully understands the attraction to firefighters in Wild Heat and creates a truly delicious hero. The plot is fast-paced and exciting. Wild Heat was a suspenseful, romantic story. Ms. Andre knew about fires and firefighting, and that, in combination with a really hot hero, made for an interesting and sexy read.
Writing advice
I recently received this email from a fellow writer, asking, “I am a new writer and I am currently (slowly) hammering through my first manuscript. I am having a little trouble being consistent with my writing process. Do you have any suggestions for a new writer? How did you figure out your writing process?” After I wrote her back, I thought it might be a good idea to post my email here.
Good news!
WILD HEAT is going to be published in Thailand!
I’ve never been to Thailand, but I’ve heard it’s beautiful and amazing - plus, I LOVE Thai food - so I’m really thrilled by the news.
In other ongoing news, NEVER TOO HOT (Connor’s story) is coming along really well. I find myself smiling while writing it, which is always a good thing.

Friday Night Knitting Club….and another Wild Heat review!
First off, I feel compelled to tell everyone that I just finished reading THE FRIDAY NIGHT KNITTING CLUB by Kate Jabobs and it was fantastic. A little slow going at first, but then once you know all the characters, voila, you can’t put the book down. A tearjerker, though, just so you’re warned. I’ve got the sequel waiting on my bookshelf. To be opened later tonight, maybe?
And then, I sat down at my computer and found out there’s been another review of WILD HEAT, which of course I have to share.
